Default Battery cut-out switch?

OK, my battery I bought in late 2010 has had it as it has become sulphated after only about less than 3000 miles of use...... I was a little complacent and had it hooked up for too long over the winter and "spring" (more like bloody winter this year....). The only reason it was hooked up was that I was lazy and didn't disconnect the battery and have it recharged on trickle charger. I would like to buy a cut-out switch to isolate the battery - does any one of you use one and if so which one are you using?

Cheers.

Autoelec one from Demon Tweeks.

You might not want to cut a hole in your dash though

You are better off buying a battery conditioner/charger, look at the C-TEK ones.

I really don't know why Tom hasn't put his kill switches here instead of on the front wing?

You need one inside and outside in the MSA regs mate.

I've got a reasonably good one though not CTEK. Serves me right I guess for neglecting the battery..... It would have discharged much less had I just disconnected the battery but didn't know that late April the council were still throwing salt on the road so car just stayed in the garage. With the cut-out switch it will just be a turn of the dial/knob to disconnect the battery.

given that you only need to do it when not using the car for long periods, is a lot off faff for the sake of avoiding popping the bonnet and pulling off the +e terminal
