Good price - I just paid £78 for one for the 86.

Similarly, it's a small battery and thus not long-lived.

For anyone with a ctek charger does the 12v in car connector work as a way keeping the battery charged up, as opposed to connecting to the battery terminals under the bonnet?

Thanks

Don't think that will work. Did it come with the plug that can be wired in?

I’ve not bought one yet, I just noticed their was an option for the cigar lighter but needed a permanent live and wondered if this would work for the s2k.

The 12V outlet in the car powers off with the ignition so not going to work. Just connect it to the battery instead.
I got mine poking out from under the hood for easy access, I use the blinky led version which tells you the battery state of charge.

Since it's a switched, not a permanent live, no.

Just get the pluggy-in thing to stop you having to twist off the red cover off the +ve terminal all the time. Only trouble is, the bung in the end falls out after a while, so it's not really sensible to leave it exposed in the wiper area.

Battery on or off to recharge.

In this recent cold weather anything more than 8 days without running it results in a sluggish turnover. Tried to start today after 10 days and not much more than a groan and clicks.

I've jump started it before but just want to give it a decent charge...

They offer a discount with S2KUK membership but it's only about 2.5% or something. Usually covers the postage.
