Why not buy Joeh's built 2.4 motor and turbo kit? The engine is like new and the whole package will save you many £x000s ?

Then you can spend all the saved money on many sets of tyres diffs and driveshafts. Maybe a box or two as well

at no point did i say you dont know what you are talkign about. however stock pistions which are high compression and head gasket and rods etc running 240bhp and all you have to do is turbo for 600 WHP and would be able to drive for 1000's of miles............... sounds pretty fairy tale.

He doesnt know what he is talking about, He's a tit, only joking but Lee does have a point.I think that getting a good stock engine is a good idea, or as Razz says go for joeh's engine.

I think unless you are looking for a hole to throw money into then stay 500 ish and keep as many standard components as possible.

You will need a big heart to build a low comp built engine in this country, Matty and I looked into it.

Look at it realistically, that kind of performance will put it into the same league as a superbike, so sustaining that kind of driving is not possible except on track.

I dont believe for one secound that im going to have the ability or the gonads to drive my car to anything like its potential.Matty and Razz both drive like nutters and both are running race superchargers....a big turbo is a completly different animal.

My main reason for doing what ive done with my car is because I can and its a hobby.I am already begining to loose interest in it because its nearly finished. Its creating an animal that appeals more to me than owning one.

Unless you want to throw a whole lot of cash at a car that will be mostly unusable I would seriousl think about what you take on.It doesnt end at the drive train. There is possibly 6-7000 underneath my car with brakes, bushes ,seam welding hardrace components and loads of other stuff ive forgoten about.

The good thing with mine is that to maintain my interest I have other things planned just to keep me going

Ive have spent time and a lot of thought on trying to keep my car as stock looking as possible.I would like to think that if anybody looked under the bonnet the engine bay looks like a factory produced car, rather than some antichrist.

I have decided to go turbo.

Based on the following: i can build my engine for 600bhp run the car at 450bhp to begin with.

when i want more power i can get a new tune and turn the boost up.

I have spend 1000's on things like hondata Kpro ECU, Hondata traction controll, HKS exhaust etc etc which would all need to go if i went for a V8.

I have spent 1000's on the breaks, bushes, chassis and suspension so the car is almost ready for big power.

I would need a compelte different drivetrain to go v8, gearbox etc etc etc stright away where as if i went turbo i can look into things like gearbox build, driveshaft etc when the time comes.

I have lots of engine parts that i have bought for running boost, the solenoid, the tial BOV etc etc which is all new. all this would be watsed if went V8 and wouldnt be able to sell for very much at all.

thoguhts?

It's a waste of money to go back for a retune get a max tune then set your boost controler to a lower setting.
That leaves fuel set-up,turbo kit,and what turbo.

Ok. So remind me why the 2.4 for sale on here is of no use to you?
