Default Big changes this winter...

So after discovering my S has engine issues i have decided to have some major work this winter.... currently running a TTS roterex superhcarger on my F20C, around 11psi, churns out just below 400bhp.

I have decided either to go for the following:

OPTION 1: a full engine rebuild and go turbo (build for 600bhp and go for a pretty large garrett turbo) this will come and have been quoted using forged engine parts a fully custom turbo kit and all the work and supporting mods i would have to buy to around 14K (sounds a lot but will be using the best quality parts)

OPTION 2: go for an NA build, to get the power i want the F20C wont be enough so this option would be to drop a shortblock chevvy V8 on ITBs and tune it up with a longer rev band etc, i have been told by reliable sources these are also good for a lot of power. i have not recieved any quotes for this yet as i am totally undecided on which option to choose.

both would need the gearbox built, a new cluth, new drive shaft etc to hold the power as mine are on the way out as it is which i will be doing anyway along with the back breaks too.

Thoughts? / know anyone with these similar set up cars?

Not sure if you have seen this thread but Greg has had an engine built by Urge Designs in the US:

Why not buy this engine?

I'd love a V8'd S2000. huge torque from 100rpm, would be such a change in our cars.

No ideas on costs though as as well as the engine you'd probably need a different gearbox/prop and have to fabricate/replace a lot more bits to get it all working than turboing a F20C.

I remember someone in the UK doing a V8 last year (or was it the year before), they had a project thread on here but cant remember the conclusion. Last I saw it was running (an LS1 I think), but they were struggling to find a power steering rack that would fit past the bigger block..

The S2000 is defined by its engine. Leave the V8 for something with a more hundrum car, IMO.

There are these v8 conversion kits

I see Monaros over here used the LS1 at some point, so the engine may not be too hard to find.
