Bl***y alarm keeps going off.
My wife had the car today and three times the alarm went off for no apparent reason, she locked it using the remote each time. Rang the dealer, who said " as it's quite windy today, it could be the wind disturbing the soft top " B*****ks I thought. Anyway since then it's done it with the car parked in the garage. This time I relocked it using the interior doorlock, and touchwood it hasn't gone off again. Has anything like this happened to anyone else, it looks at the moment as if it could be a blipper problem, could it be something as simple as a duff battery in the remote. Anybody got any ideas or should I just whistle it straight back to the dealers? and

Not sure if your system is the same as us in the states, but mine kept doing this at one point. I noticed the clip that holds my garage opener to the dash had the disarm/valet switch pressed.

When you dis-arm the alarm after it's gone off, the number of flashes on the indicator's tells you which sensor tripped it. (There's also a procedure to get it to flash this on the alarm's led. You should have a tenny little alarm manual that lists the codes etc. Then you can check if there's anything obvious with the sensor, of tell your dealer it's the 'insert sensor here'.

We had exactly the same problem with ours. Basically it is the wind. Close any air vents when parking because the wind can still blow up them disturbing things inside the car. (In our case sam has a little propellered air freshener!!)
If you just lock the doors with the key it solves the problem...............but you have no alarm at all!!
We took it to our local Honda dealer and they turned down the volumemetrics!(little sensitive thingies in the cabin!) Since then it has only gone off once in mysterious circumstances!!
However I have a list somewhere that tells you the number of flashes from the indicators and what it equates to i.e. why the alarm is going off etc....how to lock it without the volumemetrics etc etc if you are interested send me a PM and I will search it out for you.
Hope it helps!

Something that may help you before you get it fixed. You can disable the ultrasonics (if the number of indicator flashes tells you they're the problem) with an extra plip of the remote as you lock it - check the manual for details.

First of all thanks everyone for you suggestions, does the alarm only work when you use the plipper? It can't be the wind as it's also done it in the garage. I think I'll throw it back at the dealers and let them sort it out. I looked in the alarm manual and it doesn't tie in with whats happening.
