Default Boot Racks

I have bought one of the Fapa bootracks and was fitting it last night, the kit comes with 4 clear adhesive patches that go around the mounting clips on the car and stick to the paint.

Does anyone use these, I cant think they offer much protection to the paint, I was thinking about using somthing a bit more substantial and wondered if anyone had ideas ?

Thanks
Nick

I didn't bother, no damage done as far as I can see.

microfibre towels can offer a good degree of protection, if you've been bitten by the polishing bug at any time and so have a few microfibre towels lying around.
