Default Boot Release

I have noticed that I have what looks like a boot release in the cubby holes of my car, but it doesn't seem to do anything. How do I get it to work? With it being a button I presume its electrical and not a cable release.

Any help appreciated. I only have one key, and Im a bit worried that if I go and shut the boot and leave the key inside there I wont be able to get in the thing.

Thanks,

Ben

Hmmm is this a new kind of meet?

Have you been trying this with the engine on or off? It only works with the engine off. Failing that, you might have a loose connection or wire or possibly a fauly switch / boot mechanism. Are you sure the switch is even connected?

Mine too. What doesn't work is the key fob boot release when the engine is running.

Sorry about posting in wrong section, didn't realise id done that.

Not sure if ive tried with it on and off, will try, but as others say it should do both, it must be something else. Not too sure how to test that though.

Thanks for the replies so far though
