Bourbon's S6000
I would say speak to keyser or Darren-b. there are a few others running big power but those 2 are probably the most knowledgable. Darren put his zed back to standard and sold it now and bought a 370 but still knows his stuff.
I remember when I first saw one and I wasn't sure, but now I'd love one as a drift slag but it's too expensive for that nonsense haha
Compared to the S2 what was it like?
They get compared a lot but apart from being jap and front engine rear wheel drive they are quite different.
I found the zed to be a lot more grown up. It felt heavy and planted and the power curve was very very smooth. I really enjoyed my zed, although as standard it was lacking noise wise, needs and aftermarket exhaust and intake to unleash the v6 growl fully. Never put a foot wrong in 2 years. Although saying that there are a lot of little niggles with them. ARB links go earlier than they should, along with banana arms, noisy fuel damper. Brakes, tyres etc cost a small fortune. I'd have another though
The S is more fun, you need to work more to get the power out. It feels lighter and more course. And people automatically assume I like cock as it's a convertible lol.

Niggles are part an parcel of every car though
I think if one came up at a bargain price and I had the money kicking about I'd at least go test drive one with the intention to buy it if I liked it.
But I keep telling the missus that I'm gonna buy another standard S2 as a daily
I get told it's a hair dressers car and all the rest, took my work mate out in it who never thought much to it and he came back proclaiming it to be amazing!

There's a couple of threads below worth a read.
This is a work in progress but will be amazing when it's completed, same engine as yours I believe

This is an amazing build. I've been in this car and it's a proper weapon

The v8 lad has a newer engine, an LS3 which is 6.2L, mine is an LS2 which is 6L. From what I can tell after a quick skim his is NA whereas mine is charged, I'll ask him if he's off to any shows once it's done, I'd love to see it!
Messaged the guy in America regarding the dip stick, turns out there's a hidden boss behind the starter motor than can be used!
These Ls engine are so versatile it's crazy!
Also been musing over differential options ...
Seriously this time though, we (myself and a couple of friends) came up with a list of criteria.
•It must be able to hack ~550bhp and similar torque figures.
•It would be nice to keep it LSD
•Easily available replacement diff if needed
•Relatively priced in relation to how long it lasts
Turns out the number one option is this:

A diff from a 350Z
Ticks all the boxes, ish.
Not 100% sure it'll hack the power but it was mated up to a 3.5L v6 not a torqueless 2L 4pot. And even if it does go look at the price!! They don't sell for much more than £200!
Also the way it mounts seems like it wouldn't be too hard to make some adapting brackets to suit .... (He says)
I think it'll fair better than the S2000 diff in the long run. It may not last forever but it should be longer.

Power has nothing to do with a diff. Torque does a little bit.
The key here is GRIP.
The maximum loading put on the diff will be limited by traction. Unless you plan on going crazy tyres/slicks with full bore clutch dumps the standard diff will be fine.
