Anyone reading this an expert in AN lines and fittings?
Trying to get my fuel system sorted ... and I'm fumbling in the dark a little if I'm honest.

I've solved a problem today that I thought would be a right bugger.
As you probably know the S2 has electric power steering, the Ls engines have a power steering pump on them.
This means that the auxiliary belt would need to be shortened when this pump is removed or a jockey wheel and bracket made to emulate the power steering pulley.

Today I came up with the idea of gutting out the internals of the pump, plugging it up and using the pump itself as a jockey wheel. This way it retains stock location and the stock charger belt can be used also!
On top of that there's no Frankenstein bracketry and pulley on display!

Also still requesting the musings of a fuel line/fitting expert. Cheers!

Machined the back of the steering pump mount, taken 6mm off the back which is the thickness of the engine mount plate, that way the pulley will still line up with the aux belt.

The motor plate mounts over where the steering pump used to, so now it has to sit in front of the plate, moving it forward 6mm, hence machining the mount thinner

How are the pump bearings lubricated, if at all?

I left some residual oil in there, that's why I plugged it up

If its not the bonnet it must be the radiator and fans fitted and plumbed in - there's f'all space for anything else!
