New throttle body stands a little taller than the last, the bulge will be obvious now, not that the noise wasn't going to be anyway ..

Need a new bonnet shut indicator pin thing.
It's nearly 2am and I've been up since 8am, I'm unable to think coherently ... To the WTB/FS section!!

So yes, this weekend (and today)
Engine was dropped out to fit a clutch in. The story behind this is that we chucked the gearbox onto the engine without the clutch just to test fit and it fit so well that we got over excited and bolted it all up and the clutch slipped our minds, dammit.
But it wasn't a big deal, I got to mount the remote clutch bleed in a nice and accessible area. Put in a clutch line and routed it to the new master cylinder (Points to ray) only to realiser the cyl. has an AN fitting on the end. After a quick check on wilwood's site(loads of product info on there!) I found out the necessary info I needed to select the fitting I needed.

Whilst the engine was out my mate suggested making half an attempt to smarten the bay up ready for paint in the winter, we got carried away and it is now a lovely matte black and I love it! Don't have to rave everything out to have it painted now! Plus it saves me a bit of money too!

The new master cyl. unfortunately is in the way of two of the coil packs still even after modifying the bracket, I've got around it by skewing the coil packs but I now need some longer leads to be able to connect them up, any recommendations?

EGR crap ditched.

Ls fuel rail to AN fitting fitted.

Got some longer bolts so I could fit the pulse wheel between the prop shaft and diff, also mounted up the speed sensor off the diff mounts.

Swapped the DBW TB for a cable one (points to Fester), currently resolving issues regarding what to do due to the absence of an IAC, a solution of a manually set screw thingamajig is the most likely option. The bonnet required more cutting due to the different shape of the TB (more points to Fester though the only time I've removed the bonnet was when we took the F20c out)

Replaced rotten rear brake lines. Fitted Hel braided lines on all corners. Fitted Ksport big brake kit on front (6 pot, 305mm grooved discs, yellow stuff pads) not bled yet.

Put on the dummy power steering pump and then the auxiliary belt which we got wrong 3 times haha! The belt appeared too long, then too short then just right with the tensioner cranked right round(which is wrong, the tensioner needs to be able to move), then after an hour doing something else I came back to it and saw the mistake instantly and thus corrected, it was a long day.

Measured up the silicone for the coolant system and chopped away at it, only had to order one more piece(a reducer that I ouldn't remember the size of) of and the intake elbow, 102mm ... the external diameter of the new TB is 107mm ... I'm hoping that with some hot water I can stretch it over.

Bought some slim line fans for the radiators.

Tomorrow I'll be replacing my fuel pump with a grams 320Lph pump. I hope it's man enough.
I'll also be trying to fit together as much of the supercharger coolant system as I can.

Bank balance is looking a little slim now and there's still 9 days till payday ... thats when the ECU is bought! Along with the fuel line and the last 3 fittings for it! Hopefully I'll have enough to set aside for the electrician ot wire it for me.

Getting apprehensive about my end of July/early August deadline. It must be done for USC (1st 2nd & 3rd August) MUST!!
From what I can tell at the moment I'll make it, but it depends on parts turning up and the electricians, one of whom's wife is having a baby around the end of the month which is great for him, not so much me

Carl..re the fuel system. Will you be using a return circuit?

What ive done with mine (wether it can be used for yours is up to you) Ive got a Fullblown duel pump hanger with 2x320 lph pumps.Ive got a -8 feed which include a 40 micron inline filter. That runs under the car in the same location as the stock fuel lines and goes direct to the fuel rail.

Ive then got a -6 return from the fuel rail which goes to a fuel pressure reg valve then takes the same route back to the tank.Iv had to vent the tank to atmosphere which comes out by the filler cap.

The hose and fittings I used are ptfe which were all bought from Torques.

I will be changing my fuel system next winter so if you find the single 320 isnt man enough, then my duel hanger and twin pumps will be up for grabs.

I will probably take you up on that hanger buddy, cheers!
The way some Americans do it (and dynotorque in Birmingham) is they use a corvette filter regulator, it. Has a feed, return and outlet, preset to 59psi and I've asked on the Monaro forums what size would be appropriate for the feed and AN6 was agreed upon, just waiting for the filter now!

I've got an8 feed and an6 return.personally I would go an8 feed,I am running 500 hp no but should be running between 6-800 once I fit the built engine in.You are going to be moving a lot more fuel than I am so an8 will give you a bit extra for safety's sake, plus it saves buggering about changing if you find the an6 isn't enough.

I'm going for twin 44 pumps, although a single will be upto the job with the hp I'm running at the moment I'm just future proofing the fuel system.

I did want to go an8 but couldn't find the fitting, had to settle for 6.
If it's no good I'll have to change it, already got the parts now :/

Actually put the fuel pump in today, my roof is a state and needs replacing so I chopped out my rear glass and it made the job a doddle, I've got a hard top so it's no biggie. I can pay jack smith a visit when I get it running

List of stuff left to do:
Bleed brakes and clutch
Plumb up the rest of the two coolant systems
Fit locking bonnet latches
Receive fuel lines and fittings
Then fit them
Then it's off to the electrician and then tuner!

Oh it needs oil and coolant obviously.
