I quite like that actually, I'll converse with the body guy when it comes to it see if he can make it work

35 days until my dead line.
Gas soldering iron turned up today, I'll be attempting more of the wiring myself.
Couple of mechanical jobs I've got to do over the weekend.
Have to enter my submission for top 25 by the end of the month so I'll have to lie a little and make it look like it's complete.
Can't currently get time off for japfest2.
Got some drift parts to make for some people which is taking a nice chunk of my time up.

Feels like I'm fighting a losing battle at times.

Positive note:
Finally got hold of an anodiser that'll do personal jobs rather than just commercial.
£25 plus postage for my engine mounts done in a satin black.

Also rang omex with my best stern voice to press them on the issue that they've sent me a harness which should be plug and play yet I have to modify almost half of it. I've got to send my TPS and IAC off to them so they can solder on some adaptor plugs and resin fill the socket.
They can shove it up their bum bum if they think I'm gonna pay for it though! Spent enough on the harness in the first place! It's a good job I have the old one to steal half the plugs off.

Still drawing a blank from the guy I got the engine from in regards to alternator plug/wiring. Keeps saying that he was sure he gave me it. I don't care whether he did or not, I just want him to send me a new one!
Popping into my original electrician on monday to see if he has some generic plugs I need in stock, fingers crossed.

Mansfield Anodisers Carl, they'll do anything, no matter how small, and the quality is great, this is the bodies for some adjustable droplinks I did for another owners club:

They're the first people I rang and wouldn't do it because I wasn't a company!!!
Shame because those drop links look nice

Late night musings:
Just occured to me that I'm ready for my coolant systems to be filled!
Decided I'm going to run blue in the supercharger system and pinky/orange stuff in the engine system.
Reason being that if I do spring a coolant leak I can narrow down which system it is very quickly just by colour alone.

Just filled my blow torch come soldering iron and had a test run, it's cool as frack!

Aluminium spacer for the charger and throttle body, 11mm difference between the two and the throttle flap looked like it was fouling on the charger inlet.
Now clears beautifully.
Nearly finished the Ek throttle cam, just waiting for it to cool.
More pics in a bit

Nice groove for an O-ring.
Clears the spacer.
Throttle cam complete, looks ugly as hell but it'll do for now.
Test fit onto car when it's light again to see if I can get WOT using accelerator pedal.

Fracking hideous, yet functional.

Fitted spacer and throttle body, fits beautifully and the taper hole in the spacer is perfect, smoothed it out nicely.
The throttle cable adjusting bracket needs modifying but I managed to test the throttle cam and can confirm I have 100% WOT ability!! Whoo!!
Quite sure the throttle is very sensitive due to the cam being half the size of the v8 ones.

Will have to remember this when learning to drive it from scratch.

Disassembled the whole arrangement to send off the spacer and engine mounts to be anodised tomorrow.

You might want to do the M-B trick & fit a stronger/additional return spring. It'll stretch the throttle cable even quicker...
