There's a whole Monaro VXR up at the moment for not much more than that.

Car spat the power steering pump pulley out last night which meant I couldn't take it to the show where I was supposed to be top 25
Limped the car to my local pub, going to try limp it home tomorrow. Earliest I can fix it is Tuesday night.
Car is coming off the road at the end of the month so save for the next wave of mods and fix a few issues I've had.
Meth is on the cards to reduce intake temps.
Diff upgrade.
Fancy speedo box from USA to try recoup speedo and EPS
Body work will be considered depending on budget.
Definitely needs mapping again.
Rebuild my gearbox.
Fit a new clutch just because.
Only takes 4 hours to drop the gearbox out and put it back in again with 2 people!

I'll hopefully be buying a black mk2 mx5 soon to run daily (have big plans for it when the V8 is "finished")

I did win at the car show raffle!
I get to drive an Audi A5 cabriolet for a weekend!! Silver lining and all that.

Good timing on the Audi!!

I guess this is what you call shakedown or in your case, shake off.

Given that this started out as a 'too much beer' project - i think you've done really well with it

It was the too much beer which kick started me, I'd been researching and wanting to do it for about a year and a half before hand

It is fore sale sir,I'm asking £225 for it but would let you have it for £200,or......I could do you a deal on this and the twin pump hanger. If you bare in mind the money would go towards a good cause(Geartronics paddle shift) low balling wouldn't only hurt me.
