Cant afford AD08 tyres yet Thinking Hankooks? Whats your opinion?
As above can't afford the Yokohama Advan AD08's just yet, but I'm looking at a road tyre in a 17 that can take the odd weekend trackday.
I was thinking of the Hankook Ventus V12 or maybe even the Toyo T1-Sports or maybe Unisport Royal 2.
What do you all think?

I just bought a full set (F 225/45 and R 255/40) for £600 delivered (not including fitting which I did locally) - not sure of the other prices but they are great and I would therefore wait until you can afford them.

I've got Hancooks on the rear of mine and they are way better than the lifeless OEM Bridgestone rubbish. I'm a real tyre snob, so it took a lot of convincing for me to go for a 'cheap' brand, but it was definitely a step in the right direction. I know people rave about the Bridgestones having stiff walls, but that just kills feel and feedback - my car is much better now.
BUT.... I drove another S (Outtametree's)on Khumo Ecstas and they were even better, and even cheaper, so that's where my money's going next time.
And for the record, as will be confirmed by several other forum members, we don't drive our cars easy, so our tyres get properly tested.

I've been running the V12 evos for the last couple of months and have been very pleased so far. Took much longer to break in than i expected, I probably had 500 miles on them before I was happy with how they performed.
They have a slightly softer sidewall than the stock bridgestones, but 1 or 2 psi sorts that out. Also very quiet, and reasonably progressive. They do feel absolutely horrible for the first couple of days, but they turned out to be a great tyre...
