It was pretty obvious what the problem was TBH. It was just advice on getting rid of the issue that I needed. I couldn't remember what you needed to do to get rid of the CEL mainly.
I'll do a search in future to avoid being ridiculed again.

If yours is a JDM then you will have a speedo convertor from the gearbox to the ECU / dash.

It may be more likely this has got wet or dislodged itself somehow.

Dembo will be able to show you where it lives.

I'm not convinced you will have got the fuses wet under the bonnet but its definately possible!

Here's hoping the enigne didn't ake a drink

You can do repairs, replacements and maintenance work; or extra power points or lighting points or other alterations to existing circuits (except in a kitchen or bathroom, or outside)

It was worth it anyway, for stuff like this:


Thanks MB, that speedo converter idea would make more sense. I'll check it out tomorrow. The engine is fine I think. At least, it was fine for the 30-40 mile trip home.
