Default Chirping Alarm

When arming the alarm on the S2 it flashes a number of times and then it's armed, but no real beeping noise (more or less silent) .
At the weekend I had a flat battery and discovered in this state when turning the alarm on it chirped twice and was armed ?
Unfortunately now the battery is fully charged it has gone back to being a quiet alarm.
Does anyone now if there is any way to get this chirping sound when you arm the alarm every time, as it is much better and can walk away from the car and know it's armed?

AFAICT the alarm only chirps when there is a bad contact with any of the zone sensors or any of the other sensors ie battery. It's to let you know that the system is not properly set.

when the battery dies/gets disconnected and the alarm is activated for the 1st time after the batter re-connected it will beep - after that the beeps will go.
this happened to me as well - don't worry all is OK.

Dave,

Don't think they're worried, I think they're asking how to get the chirping all the time as it is sometimes frustrating having to watch out for the indicators particularly in bright light with the clear indicators. I would also like to do this if it is possible.

Derek.

I take it from the few replies that this is not a viable option ? I will speak to my local dealer and let you know if there are any results .
