Default Clutch still notchy

I took off the slave cyclinder, sanded down the rod, put on a lot of copperslip and reassembled...

No change at all. Was copperslip the wrong choice?

Clutch is still notchy!

It's very strange that it isn't consistent. Every now and then it'll just be super smooth, then it'll just go back to being notchy... Is there anything else that could be underlying?

When does the notchiness happen? Motorway? Slow traffic?

Could it be a lack of lubrication where the release bearing slides around the input shaft casting thingmy? (I can't think of the right term!)

Well it's more noticeable at lower speed because I'm bringing the clutch up slower, but it's there all the time

Hmm!!

Can you hear anything as well when it's doing it?

Coppaslip is no substitute for proper grease in there IMO.

you also have to grease the clutch fork pivot point and fingers where they contact the release bearing as well, with hi-temp grease

Has this been throughout your ownership?

If so, look at the CDV - Clutch Delay Valve. Search on here for info about it/how to remove it.
