Clutch system leak
Hey guys,
Just a quick question after a bit of searching and inspecting - I can see fluid all around the clutch pedal where it enters the footwell, and the fluid is way past the minimum - so I obviously have a leak, and as you would expect, the bite point is low and it's hard to select gears.
The question is - is there any way to confirm whether it's the master cylinder or just a seal leak? Or is that just something for the mechanics?
Also, I know it's an ASAP thing - but how long so I have to get it sorted before I have no gear selection? What fluid shall I top it up with (from Halfrauds) to give me a bit of time to get parts?
Thanks for your help.

First thing is clean the fluid off your paint if you leave it it acts like weak paint stripper
If it's inside the cabin it's most likely a master cylinder seal but to be sure check the body of the cylinder on the engine bay side if it's dry then it's a seal gone
Chances are it's just the seal and these can be replaced, if it was me I'd get a complete unit from a breakers, it's one to two hours work
