Just interesting to see you all mention about spring rates. I have 10F/6R on my current car which has a 65/35 F/R weight distribution and weighs in at about 950kg.
As i've said though, I have Coilovers (10kg/6kg) on my car (950kg FF) at the moment and I find the ride perfectly acceptable - I like the firmness.

Sorry, I should have just said Civic, but I was trying to clarify the comparitiveness of it all - failed miserably it seems
As for removing bushes - no problem. All the rear bolts and bushes on the Civic were siezed/perished when I bought it - the rear compensator arms were COMPLETELY shot and I had to cut into the chassis, the reweld plates over the hole to get them out. I rebuilt that car and every bolt was copper greased. As such I can tell you why honda don't do it - because its a bloody pain in the arse!! Still, I wanted to do a proper job so....
I'm a dab hand at removing/fitting bushes now with just a vice, socket set and hacksaw
That and the suspension on the S looks even easier to work on that the Civic - none of that trailing arm stuff!
