Just had the wing liner out of the offisde wing to sort out a problem with the windsreen washer pump( Brushes worn out new unit required ) But did notice a lot of minor corrosion beginging to occur esp where bottom edge of wing is welded to chassis. Previously noted some monor corrions between parts of main chassis mebers that are spot welded together in engine bay and have contiually treaed with waxoly and so far kept in check. Also noticed a lot of corrsion when up on ramps for tyres etc in odd spots and esp sub frames etc. Car is 51 plate owned since new 52k on clock never crashed or even minor repairs, needs respray due to serious stone chip situation, any comment????????

 

Is car put away in a garage whilst wet? Do you drive it through the winter? Are the roads near you particulary gritty? Do you regularly clean the underside of the car with pressure washer? Endless questions and contributing factors..

 

Not unusual I would say - my 02 was showing signs of that before I PX'd it for an 05.
