Default Cut out on idle

Hey guys, another problem with the S now. On the way to work this morning I noticed that every time I would come to a junction and dip the cluth to free wheel slightly it would die on me. Seeems to idle ok but as soon as you rev the car and release the revs go right down and it usually cuts. If it doesn't it sounds like it is struggling, I.E it has barely one bar of revs showing. I did have a little play with bits the other night because I was going to fit a K & N. Unfortunately it got to dark before I could finish the job. I'm sure I put everything back together ok. I'm hoping that it is related and when I try and fit the induction kit today properly it will disappear. I was just wondering whether the problem sounded familiar?
P.S My problem in France has still not been resolved going to Honda at the end of the week.
Cheers Guys

See the link in my sig

Sounds like your car has some issues...

Sounds very much you have an air leak from where you have been fiddling. Check all the hoses.

It could be several things, if you have been tampereing with air hoses prior to the K&N install then that sounds likely.

I had similar issues a while ago, it turned out to be a seized A/C clutch
Aircon now removed. (NB The clutch runs even when the aircon is off)

Start the engine, open bonnet then blip the throttle (pull cable on the throttle body).
When the engine comes back to idle watch the pulley at the bottom right of the serpentine (auxiliary) belt, if you see odd things happening then it's a possibility.

Try removing the auxiliary belt (remember how it routes) then run the engine again and see what happens. DON'T drive with the auxiliary belt off though.
