Hi Pete,
firstly... did i see you in Stow on the wold on sunday? gorgeous day - we went to snowdonia for the weekend - hood down all the way there and back :-) ...and great roads.
now on to the point, F1's. I need to change my tyres and am serious about the F1's for their wet performance. Are they as good in the dry?
also why have them at 36psi when on my car it specs 32psi both front and back. does the higher pressure give less grip cos of less rubber on the road? improve wear cos of less rubber on the road?
your comments would be appreciated as i need to change mine pdq.
cheers
Joe

Hi Joe,
No I wasn't in Stow on Sunday, but I was in Snowdonia on Saturday! (Shrewsbury to Anglesey top-down on the A5 all the way there and back). Great drive. Showed a clean pair of heels to a Z3 and an MGF.
As to the F1's. The consensus of opinion on this board was that the OEM S02's on the car have very stiff sidewalls and, therefore, you need more pressure in the F1's which have a softer sidewall. So I set mine at 36 psi.
Now, howevr, they are at 35 psi because I checked them a few days ago and found one at 35. As my inflator had gone FUBAR I dropped the other three to 35 to match! I know another board member (Steve) has his F1's at 34 psi and finds his car handles well.
