I'm going to fit one just because I'm planning on using the car properly this year

I fancy the NRG one.

It looks trick for sure!

But if so good/necessary, then why wouldn't Honda would fit one as standard?? They didn't exactly skimp elsewhere on the S engine-wise.

Good work though
Honda don't fit one for the same reasons they don't fit all the other parts I have fitted to my car:

Cost & target audience

Fitting the damper allows more vibration into the cockpit potentially pi55ing off a lot of customers.

Sure, they could have weened the vibes out, but that would cost more money and there is a point when they need to say 'Enough is enough'.

Each mod I do is removing the comfort factor of the car and turning into performance.

Willf/Pie My mounts aren't munched.

Infact, thanks to the PU sealent, they are probably better off than they ever have been.

Granted, having solid engine mounts would also eliminate the problem, but they cost

And I would be one of them. (Never been into this toe-heeling stuff either - at 6'4" and with size 11s, I'd likely be struggling anyway.)

Hardcore drivers only need apply then!!

Under bonnet bling, nothing more.
Your noticing a HUGE improvement because your mounts are shagged, allowing the huge amount of play your experiencing.

I'd consede throttle response may have improved due to you engine no longer being able to swing around as much in the bay, but come on

2-3" movement

Under bonnet bling nah, i have noticed a difference for sure but not as much as Ron has. The engine is inline anyways.

I havent really noticed much more vibration inside.

I'm guessig Honda didnt fit one, because they dont do owt, besides removing the ringing "shifter", which if memory serves Honda designed into the car to give it "character".

If your getting upto 3" of lateral movement prior to fitting your damper somethings munched fella PERIOD - I dont care how much PVA glue you used rebuilding the thing, it's goosed, get a new one. In fact I'd replace the N/S one as well as that probably took a beating when you O/S one gave up the ghost!! Hell the rear two too.

But your alright cuz you brought a torque damper init
