I suppose the Spoon race cars use solid mounts on the track car because it looks bling.

Then again so does my work collegue who has raced cars for the last twenty years.

Hey, what the heck do they know?

WTF are you on about - get back in your cage

The discusion was the benefits or indeed lack of an ETD on a road car, not the lack of need for NVH compliance on a race car

Why? because it moves when in vtec?
No - because the engine moves under load.

Revving your engine at idle won't the mount put it anywhere near the load of the torque reaction the mounts provide when the car is under power. Especially on fast gear changes where the shock of changing gear really hammers the mounts.
