Default Error Codes

I posted a few weeks back as MY04 wont rev over 3,000RPM.

I bought a ODB Reader and it came up with the following 5 error codes :

P0122 Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Circuit Low Input
P1298 Electric Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage
P1367 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor B (Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor) No Signal
P0412 ?
P1412 ?

The bottom two are not listed in the FAQ, anyone know what these are?

What is my next point of call, do I contact the stealer, or locate someone else to put right?

Thanks

if they begin with P0 they are generic OBD codes, there should be a book with your reader which lists them.

P0412 is Secondary Air Injection System Valve A Malfunction

If they begin with P1 they are manufacturer specific codes, and should be listed in the FAQ. I think 1412 will be the same as 0412

I have no clue what next, all sounds horrible to me!

There is a copy of the Honda 2000-2003 Service manual in PDF format flying around.
Seems to have some decent troubleshooting guides.

Me too, found the book I got with the reader:

P0122 TPS/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
P1298 Electric Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage
P1367 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor B (Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor) No Signal
P0412 Secondary Air Infection System Valve A Malfunction
P1412

How have people got their error codes fixed, via the Stealer?

May be worth PMing Turtle, I'm sure he could shed some light on the situation.

First one is the throttle sensor which lives on the throttle body. That could be related to your problem, as could the crank sensor.

Do you have a CEL still lit up on the dash?

If you have a code reader these can be reset / cleared. Any background to how the faults came up would help too.

Yes usually the dealer fixes Error codes.

If you want an electronic Service Manual on CD rather than pdf there are also some flying around

Sorry to hear this mate, maybe if you reset it may rev above 3000 now that you have indentified codes, but i personally would not.

I CEL light is still on, I havent cleared this as I thought the problem will still be there.

If I do delete the codes, do you think it would rev over 3,000rpm?

Dont know how the faults came up, car has been garaged since it was imported in uk a few months ago.

Im not advising either way, but I would if it was mine, as long as I knew the codes.

The 2 that look odd are the 2nd and 3rd ones, and these 2 are the likely ones that wont let the car rev IMO.
P1298 Electrical Load Detector Circuit High Input.
P1367 TDC Sensor No. 2 Signal.

If there is a genuine problem they will come back pretty quickly. If they do come back I would get it looked at.

Im sure others will disagree but thats my spin on it.
