Default Few questions guys!

Right guys, slowly getting bits done on the S2k before I start on the engine work.

One thing I need to do is fit my Alpine head unit.

It is an Alpine CDE - 9880 R.

What do I need to fit this in the S2k? I'm assuming I will be able to buy an adaptor harness but I am literally useless with stereos!

Any help would be great!

Also, as per my last thread I'm 95% sure i'm going to need another engine, and I am currently on the look out (though my budget has just had a big chunk taken out of it so more saving needed />/> ) but I am going to pop the big ends off and try a new set of shells for the sake of it.

Just a few questions:

I see there is a bracing bar under the sump - once I have removed that, is there anything else that needs removing before the sump will come off?

I have never seen inside ones of these before, will I need to remove the oil pump to get to any of the shells? I've done this 100 times before, but this is my first Honda!

where is the best place to get shells from - Honda?

Get one of these which will let you keep the dash controls http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ict-...l-adaptor.html and you'll need one of these too. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/inca...e-adaptor.html

Thanks once again mate!

Slight issue I have now, just tucked the S2000 back in the garage, put the roof down to reverse the car in the garage, went to put the roof back up and it has stopped working!

It went down fine, but it won't go back up - no noises, pressing the switch doesn't do anything - no clicks or funny noises, it's like the ignition is off.

I had a quick look in the fuse box under the bonnet and there seem to be 2 20 amp fuses for the left and right roof motors, they seem to be fine, and i'm not sure what to check next!

Is the handbrake on? Sounds too obvious but I leave the handbrake off mine in the garage and thought there was a problem with the roof but it was just the handbrake being off.

I'd be surprised if there was any particular Alpine CD Changer that wouldn't work, but don't quote me on that. I think the S2000 had a CD Changer available as an option and was mounted above the fuel tank, with a cut out in the boot lining?

To be honest though, as the head unit you have is capable of connecting an iPod, I'd have a feeling it'd be cheaper in the end, and a lot simpler to just do it that way.

i had the CD changer, it is mounted in a cage on the left hand side of the boot, taking up space! though it was useless over bumps as kept skipping and buffering so i got rid of it...
