Default Fit for purpose

After driving 225 miles today I have a real sense the s2k is not a tourer. Compounded by the issue I had to use the company van as a pace car ( his sat nav went a different way to my printed directions so I was at his mercy) when the rain was so hard I could barely see his tail lights he was ploughing on at 70+ in his front wheel drive van I was fearing for my life every time we hit standing water. Did get a nice moment though when we went through a small tunnel on the m23 where I dropped back back put the windows Down and gave it full vtech. The sound was awesome.

Playing with kids toys in a tunnel while drivingis dangerous!! .

Re the rain problem you should invest in some kind of window sealant. In 2 years I never have to use my wipers even in torrential rain.

S2000 is a low car with a sharp raked screen - you disappear in spray when it's really bad. His Van will have been that much higher up and a clearer view ahead due to that. I don't find it any less sure footed than anything else i've driven / drive - the key is good tyres and good Geo and as above ... something like RainX on the glass + good wipers.

+1 for Rain-X you can turn the wipers off above 40mph.

I have GTechniq smart glass on the windscreen, never need to use wipers in rain, it's brillaint!
It lasts three years unlike rain-x which lasts about a week.

Yeah, in the rain, not so much but I've done some pretty long trips and found it comfortable and fun. The only difference was sunshine and warm weather !
