Over the weekend I parked up Saturday night, watched GP on Sunday then went out for a drive. After about 500m the car cuts out so I try to start it again and it wouldn't start but I could really smell petrol. Quickly used google on my phone and saw the suggestion that it could be flooded and to try WOT when starting. This didn't work either

So with the help of 4 other guys, I managed to get it parked out the way in a busy london high street and called the RAC

They guy came, asked me to put the ignition on and then we saw fuel pissing out the bottom of the car! Turns out the pipe had come off the fuel pump and fuel was just being sent down the tank to the floor. Glad no one was smoking near me!

Pipe got connected and off I went, but it might be worth checking next time you're in the boot. It would take you 10 minutes to check but could be very dangerous/big pain in the arse depending where it happens
