Default Garage heater / dehumidifier?

Hello team!

I was wondering if anyone here uses any sort of garage heater or Dehumidifier during the winter? I'm not one to excessively baby the car but I have notice the car is still covered in water when I wake it up in the morning after driving home in the rain.

It's probably not the best for it to be sat in water for that long, although it would be the same if it was outside I guess.

I'm not sure what sort of heater would help, if any? Obviously I'm also quite conscious to not start an electrical fire in the garage !

Any insight welcomed

It sounds expensive and I think you'd need both as you suggest, my garage gets very cold (detached) and the car gets condensation on it because of that

Not helped by my gym being in there I guess

Try here

I reckon you need ventilation more than heating?

Hello, what's your garage like, metal corrugated roof?does it leak at all?floor and walls been sealed? Any insulation? I did all of these to my garage along with new d/g windows and it's made a big difference.Im no expert but I think you need to do something like what I've done to reduce how humid it is first because a dehumidifier on its own will never get on top of things,it's like trying to heat your house with the doors and windows open I guess?......hope this helps a little

Line it with this then plasterboard or OSB over it, there's no point heating or dehumidifying a garage that leaks heat that you are paying for or overworking a humidifier.

I agree with this, but I didn't plasterboard over my celotex, just used there foil tape on the joints.you also have to be careful that your roof beams can take the weight of the plasterboard which is one of the reasons why I had to replace the roof on my garage with nice thick beams also

Oh I found ebay was the best place price wise for the celotex, don't buy the fixing clips tho as they suck.A screw or a nail in the side of the beam once the celotex is in place is the way to go
