Default Gear Box

Thats it too late now , car in for new gear box , clutch again and the plugs and bolts recall , so now we shall see what happens afterwards ?

Box was just a bit notchy between 1-2-3 and sometimes baulky into first , but Honda said change it , with no argument

What will the result be like though , will the dealer sod it up , only time will tell I suppose

Watch this space !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clutch/gearbox changes simply transformed my car. It now drives better than it ever has done. Have no fear.

This is an interesting post.
My gearbox has a definite knotch into third unless I am driving moderately and have revs exactly right.
Having had clutch modification (and flywheel skimmed) during first month I was advised by dealer gearbox could be changed (under warranty) but that in fact mine was one of the better boxes and best left alone.
Opinions?

Thanks

Don

talk to biker1 or bmarshall. I`m sure they`ve both replaced transmission oil and this is improved.

I'm also on my second gearbox. First was replaced @ 9,000 miles. The second was better from the start. But now (~22,500 Miles), it's even better. There's a thread about the gearbox oil I've changed to somewhere around.

Work done , box much better , bit stifff but loostening all the time , advised to take it easy for a while .

Clutch replaced again as well as the new 055 one had not bedded and was running on high spots , dealer ordered one in case as Honda do not apparently do not fit new automatically on box change .

Oil jets done and plugs , dealer ok no problems
