Default getting a bit bored

Hi all,

I dont know why but lately im just getting a bit bored of my s2k i dont know why, well to be honist i get bored of everything really quickly that just what im like lol but im thinking of trading in my s2k for an evo 8 or a scooby sti i guess because i have always wanted one of them, thing is as soon as i did it i know i would regret it.

So the reason for me telling you is im after some ideas of what i could do to my car to make it look more exciting again!! i dont have much money to spend so i was wondering what would be the best things to do....wheels,respary,hardtop,bumpers/lips....ect....ect... dont really wanna change the performance as im pretty happy with that and also dont wanna make my mpg any worst than it already is!
Oh by the way i drive a 52 plate silver one.

Thanks, Marc.

You could do a facelift to the 04+ style headlights and bumpers.

Take one (clear) wet corner or roundabout with too much right foot and too much steering.

How old are you? Most people (prob under 30) get bored after a while (I know I did) and change cars, it's all part of the car growing up business. You can always come back if going to something else doesn't work out (although financially it won't make sense!).

You've only had the S five minutes!

You seem to me you want a faster, less exclusive (can i say that about the S? ) and more common car.

I'd go with a subaru or evo as you suggested.

I still like the S, two years on although sometimes i wish it was a bit wee bit faster

I can't see myself getting bored with the S anytime soon but obviously each to their own.

Think about why you got the S - if those things don't appeal to you anymore then choose a different one. If you can afford to keep changing cars then change away and experience driving different ones.

hmmm i do like the idea of facelifting it to make it look like the 04+ i did think about doing that before but thought it would be very expensive, do the parts simply bolt straight on or would i need a bodywork expert?

Dracoro - Im 21 so that would explain your theory.

I know what you mean

I'm not sure you would be too insurance friendly on an Evo 8. I was paying

A tuned Evo is a serious weapon, and 911 beater so you might get hooked!

But with high running cost and awful MPG. My mate had a ~400BHP evo 7 and the MPG was laughable, although the performance was scary!

I tried an RX7 last week...

A standard one was pretty impressive. The guy said he had been in a 400+ bhp one recently and he was absolutely shocked by it.

I need that in my life

But obviously the reliability becomes an issue, as does 5-15 mpg

Which is where the S2000 wins.

Can't have it all!

(but a good RX7 is about 6-8k now )

Trouble is, the owners club suggested to me you need a full rebuild at 60k.
On a big turbo mod, I wonder how long that is reduced to!
