getting a bit bored

Hire a mundane car for a week and stick the S in the garage and don't touch it.
Hand back the hire car and get back into the S.
It'll cost only a few pounds and you'll amazed at the results.
It's also good for the soul.

i drive a 1.8 mondeo all week.
the s is awsome after that.
It is an easy explanation, you want a car that you point and shoot! Just put your foot down and that is it.
There is a very fine line between the S being sedate / boring or an amazing / dangerous car! It is called knowing how to drive it to its limits without falling in a ditch.
This is what makes the S relatively unique because it can do most things very well.
Please do not try and push the limits over the coming months because you will find the ditch very quickly, however come spring / summer you'll be able to explore the limits so much more!
Enjoy

If you're bored, change the car
I umm'd and ahh'd for ages when I got bored of the S - I kept thinking I must be wrong if all these people love it so much, why aren't i feeling that spark with it. (Maybe because of a bit crash I had, I don't know).
In the end I test drove a scooby on a whim (had a classic years ago for about 4 weeks) and didn't look back. Went to test drive another one and walked out the dealer having bought it. There was a bit of a sad moment when I part ex'd the S for it, but generally I haven't looked back.
I miss it on days like today - sunny cold crisp days - but otherwise I haven't missed it at all.
Don't waste money trying to make it into something you like - if you're bored just move on, life is too short. After 12 months of ownership of the Scoob (only minor modifications; exhaust plus some cosmetic stuff) I still love it and get that grin every time I walk up to it, that people on here always talked about with the S but I never really felt.
I have a track car too btw, I wouldn't be happy unless I had something i could put on track, and although I'd love to take the Scoob on one day, I would generally be worried about stuffing it I think! Although the Scoob is coming on the WRC stages in a couple of weekends so I hope I don't stuff it then !

How can anybody be bored with this car. It's briliantly sunny today and I've just been out for drive. Roof down heater on (plus flying jacket and woolly hat). It's brilliant.
