Yep 40-60k seems to be the norm and a couple of grand a pop!

That's why they are bloody cheap right now - if you find a good one with upto 400 bhp id think it would be a great bit of kit. But

Hire a mundane car for a week and stick the S in the garage and don't touch it.
Hand back the hire car and get back into the S.

It'll cost only a few pounds and you'll amazed at the results.

It's also good for the soul.

Driver training - best value for money performance mod, and you can take it with you when you sell.

I "got bored" of my first S 6 months after buying - lasted until I learnt to drive it better.

m4rcs2000, if you don't want to spend any money, weight reduction would be the best option. also, you'll get better MPG.

I think this is my first time posting in this section.

With regard to an RX7, the Nitron guys had one in when my car was having the Nitron dampers fitted - the RX7 had a big US block fitted and it was a perfect fit, even the gearstick was in exactly the right place. Imagine 400bhp in an RX7 with better reliability.....

Dieting is the best option, for me at least. Getting in & out will be easier too.

I contemplated moving over to 996/TVR ownership after 2+ years, however, I couldn't justify it. I only get to drive the motor every 2-3 months so each time I do come home, it's just like the first time. I have a Sex Wee
