GPS and Data Loggers
Thanks Lovegroova thats great, will get that anyway just to have a play around and see what its like to use, looks good though!
I've had a look at those Driftbox's Ultra Nexus but their beginning to clamp down on the types of mounts allowed in the cars now and the windscreen ones aren't allowed at some circuits now (I could be wrong but its what i've been told through the MSA)
MB, Yer they are a pain for that because otherwise there fantastic! I can easily remove the actual box and use that in another car but would need to buy all the other bits to go with it and to be honest I usually get one of our mechanics to do it as I'm admittadly useless with electronics and so am not even sure what other bits I would need. Do you have any idea?
Also just the cameras they use for that are £240 a piece and i would need a video. Do you know of any good cameras that would fit the box for a better price?

If you just remove the Video Vbox unit you would just need power supply, gps antennae and a camera. Not too bad as most road cars have a cigarette lighter, the GPS is magnetic and the the camera is easily clamped on. Might be expensive buying those items though.
For alternative camera's, my main one is actually a Sony which is higher quality but a bit cheaper. Might be worth speaking to Dog Cam.
You are correct on suction mounts too. I've not been on a track day where they are allowed, and for good reason too. Must use a clamp.
