Hello and....Dash Mark Problem
A couple of things you could try.
#1. A little bit of olive oil on a soft cloth over the area.
#2 Zymol leather cleaner.

I use this Zymol leather cleaner for the whole interior of the car.
Looks to me as if the area affected has been 'dried out' by the white spirit.

Bit concerned as to how much the white spirit has caused damage, really dont want to have to replace the dash, hence on the look out for a plastic Surgeon!
I'd go with Shopman on that one, it looks as though its removed some shine in that area, i'd personally try wiping the area down with Gliptone leather conditioner. It brings out depth in the plastic without making it too shiny. Another alternative I use is Meguiars Hyper dressing which would need to be diluted 4:1 to keep the satin finish.

Bought some zymol leather cleaner in halfords, so will give it a wipe down on the effected area tomorrow,
will update with pictures (not of the broken shelf!)
