Default Help

The car seemed a little under-powered yesterday, at all levels of revs. Non warning light came on though. My first thought was an oil leak, but I checked the level and it was still practically full. Started to 'kangaroo' at about 40mph in 3rd & 4th. I figured I'd take it into Chiswick Honda next week and get someone to give it the once over. Then today a warning light came on, orange - looks like a picture of the whole engine!!). As soon as this came on, the car stopped idling and try as I might to keep the res up, I still stalled it 6 times at traffic lights on the way home.

Anyone had a similar issue or know what the problem is?

Thanks!
Ewan

I'd try cleaning the MAP sensor - do a search.

Try pulling the Engine management fuse for a few sec so it forgets & re-sets.

If that doesn't do it, you may have got contaminated fuel.

Thanks Nick, I took the MAP sensor off and gave it blow clean, car's now idling again!

The tanks nearly empty, if the fuel was contamiated, am I safe to refill it?

cheers mate!

You should not reset the ECU until you know what code it is!

Thanks Mark, I haven't removed the management fuse, just gave the map sensor a blow to clean it.
