Hi well me dad and i have been at it all day and we just can'tsort it.

We have cut the hole out of the dash,(with cheap type drimmel,)not the best tool but im sure we can retrim around the hole,with some black rubber strip that i got from a boat builders,

What we can't sort is the wires behind the Air back Passenger side,there are a round 70 wires a lot seem to be black,with white,but there is one orange wire which goes to the air bag,this is right where we need to put the shelf Which we made,(From ply 3 mm ply with a coat off rubber paint which looks fantastic!)The idea is,we fit the pull out shelf behind the dash , when i need to take the Ipod out,you pull the flap down and take it with you.

My Q is do you think we could cut this wire Orange colour,remove the outer coating and make the cabel longer buy splicing in new cable,i have not got any Orange cable but im sure this will not matter??

You shouldn't have a problem doing this so long as you remove the number 3 fuse before you cut the wire.
