Default HELP NEEDED

My S has failed it's MOT because it has got a sports cat on. They say the emissions are double what they should be.

Anyone got any idea what i could do?

Carn't believe this, this is why i didn't put a straight pipe on so i didn't have the hassel on it's MOT.

afraid yourll have to take it off and replace it with OE or find a friendly garage maybe they didnt let the engine warm up properly before doing the emission test ? i know my garage left it running for ages when i took here in for the MOT last week.

Straight pipe would have caused the same problem, you need to keep your OEM CAT for MOTs

What is the difference between a sports cat. and a straight pipe?

Did anyone tell you the car would pass the MOT with it?

The term sports cat is generally described as one which gives a high flow, but still contains catalyst and is intended to pass an MOT.

Im not aware anyone makes one for the S, and not really sure it would be worth it for the ease of removing a decat pipe.

A de-cat is a straight pipe, sometimes with a resonator inside. It does nothing for your emissions.

Which one did you buy??
