Default Help on paint damage

Went out to my car this morning and spotted some old Passat parked about 5 inches from my back bumper. Also spotted a chip on the bodywork around the number plate.

Can anyone reccomend a good place to get this kind of thing fixed (South Herts or North / East London ideally, but I'll travel further afield if necessary.

I would go through the insurance but there's no proof that the Passat driver did the damage - depite the fact that his bumpers look like he guages when to stop by hitting other cars!!!

I would have a go myself with touch up paing but I've no confidence at all in my abilities and don't really want to mess up my 10 week old bumper more than it is already.

Give Phil at Bodymaster GB in Watford a ring.

http://www.bodymastergbltd.co.uk/

I know where the ding on my car was and still can't find where he resprayed it, good price too and he should still have some silverstone paint.

I used a 'paint man' when I tried to reverse my Scooby into the house and it didn't fit

He works out of car dealers so I got hold of him through Cheam Motors, my local Scooby dealer in Ewell.

The job he did was superb and of high quality - you would never know I damaged the car ....

If you have to consider looking / coming down to SW London / Surrey it may pay to give Cheam motors a ring and ask for his details.

same thing happened to me when my car was 6 weeks old. Looks like someone hit my number plate surround with a tow hitch. Actual damage is limited to 'bruise' on the edge of the number plate surround, some scuffing that polished out where the number plate surround was pushed against the bumper and a slight misalignement of the bumper that i was able to correct with a bit of pressure.

Annoying at the best of times, but even worse when the car is brand new!

If you see it again, be very careful that you don't trickle some brake fluid on it because it will remove his paint.
