sorry I havent got the KCE-865B that is what I have been told by Honda that Alpine said I should have but it was disconntinued in '07.So I could do with one if anyone knows of one anywhere.
i have had the Audioline unit fitted but as i said it looks like the wrong one. ;o(

You don't have the wrong one......mine also says that it is the x60, but when I spoke to the supplier they said it was the wiring loom that was different for the CR-V and the S2000.

The black box that is labelled X60 is actually the same for both vehicles.

 

I have a Countdown DCI and I'm really chuffed with it. Theinstructions that came with it mentioned that the mute buttons could get out of sync if you used the dash to switch the mute function on, and the unit to switch mute function off, or vice versa. Have you done this? It may be that the DCI you have suffers from the same problem. HTH

 

Thanks guys for all your help and advice, situation at the Mo. Honda adamant not there problem and audio place adamant that the gear they put in couldnt have done this!

Just bought a second hand console now and will swop see if it fixes the problem!

The mute button stays lit even if there is no head units connected at all to it! if I put the old original head unit in it says mute also and wont work cause it is muted the new head unit did work with the mute button lit but doesnt now !AHHHHHHHH just going round in circles but hopefully the second hand switch array will fix it!
