I hope it wasn't malicious, 250 and 215 are easy to get confused and JDM imports are 250.

Would be great to hear your findings.

Just phoned them,

Spoke to Simon (make it a generic test) and got the following details :-

As to an import :
Warrenty 60k etc
No AA
No mechanical differences
Parts are identical for replacement

Good information, but then he asked how long I would own the car, I sugested 1 - 2 years and got the response "you will not find a dealer willing to buy it and selling it privatley would be nearly impossible, you will have to run the thing into the ground before selling it if you bought an import". "Some importers sell you last years model as current" (like the UK doesn't!).

make of the conversation what you will, scare tactics will not deter true consumers who know about the true S2000.

Often.

I do remember them mentioning saying something about not being able to sell an imported model. I felt that the sales man was just using a few 'scare' tactics to try and get my money out of me...glad I found this palce first though

Hi BF,

I am in process of importing, due October, and hence selling my current S2000. It's black with red/black interior. Looks very unique with the chin/middle/rear spoilers. IMO there are too many silver cars and it's a bugger to match paintwork according to my body shop contacts. Not that you will ever need them

It all depends on your budget. If you've got 23k and are willing to take the time and do the paperwork, import. I'd suggest direct. Several here have done so with excellent service: search on Verhagen. Agencies will do it for you for around

Only 247BHP with 100+ RON remember, compared to our 237 on 98 RON.

Not sure what they would put out with 98?

If I remember correctly Norton Way, in Letchworth have a silver, X reg, Euro import on their forecourt. Don't know how much they are looking for it.

Their number is 01462 678191

Rog,

car looks great , but Ive had a bit of crappy news...long story but I'm moving house at the moment and its been delayed, so that also delays my purchase as at the moment I have no drive and I'm not parking an S2K on the street!

Thanks anyway.
