Interesting little play this morning
Was following one of these into work this morning. First time I've seen one so thought I'd see how it went.
Route is essentially come up a slip road, turn right around a BIG roundabaout. Dual Carriage way (with additional feeder lane on the left) for about 400yards roundabout then something like half a mile to the next roundabout.
Followed him around the BIG roundabout in traffic (plus there's a really nasty bump on the exit you don't want to hit at speed) so not much play but traffic cleared onto the first stretch of Dual carriageway. Not much in it as we go for the initial flooring of the throttle. I wasn't quite at 6,000rpm but he was ahead and hence i probably got the jump on him when it came to playing. Pretty much dead level but he lost out badly when he had to make a gear change and I absolutely annihalated him under breaking and accelerating out the next roundabout.
Possibly it's a new car so he didn't want to push too hard under breaking but I reckon the S has got the legs on it in a straight on drag race. Didn't think it would have such a short rev range. Anyone else any experience of these?
