Thought the halfrauds one has a life time warranty? Pretty sure a friend of mine returned his 5-6 year old one for a brand new replacement

No they're not a part of the Advanced range as they call it, that's their lifetime warranty range.

The one above is standard 12 months

i purchased this one from the bay:
clicky here.

been using it for 6 years or so and it still is perfect, i made a rubber support for it out of a hockey puck.

its £110 and its a heavy bastard but i can lift the back/ front end of my car off the ground in seconds with it.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced jack that'll fit under a car lowered on eibachs.

I've been looking at the Sealey 2500LE one that adam_rob_uk has linked to.

It looks like it will last longer than the rest and has a minimum height of 85mm which I think sounds OK, although I haven't measured my AP1 with Eibachs...

ALL of the jacks that Halfords sell are crap tbh. I did buy one of the Big Red jacks (they all look the same) and the tiny knob you have to twist to lower the car is always a gamble to whether you drop the whole car at once or slowly place the car down as you expect a jack to!

I would ensure you get a decent make really so failing Bluepoint (made by Snap-On which is what my garage have) I think I'm going to try the strong Sealey...

I did also have a Sealy RJAS2500 in my list of possibles http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251263109516 as 34Kg for the steel version is a bit much.
