Yeah, all their Ali jacks (1.25, 1.5, 2.5 tonne) are out of stock according to their website otherwise I think I'd have gone with them in the first place.

Agreed about SGS, I have the 1.25t jack and it's been great.

Cheers for the link, although as I said 34KG is a little heavy for me to lug in and out of my shed.

For info: SGS Engineering are getting stock in for 2-3 weeks time I may hold out that long, but I really need to sort out my rattly exhaust so I'm going to have to stop procrastinating soon !!!

...incidentally N777CK T, in your sig that really looks like North Street in Chichester, or is it somewhere else ?

I got a Clarke CTJ1250AB a while back and it gets used a lot on all of my cars. It only weighs 11.65kg

Also got an old Halfords jack that I still occasionally have use .... but it is more than twice the weight.

Maybe we can get a discount for buying 2 locally then! Haha

So what jack shall we go for? 34kg does sound like a lump! Are the others going to last though?

I'm stil undecided, they mostly seem like generic design(s) that have been type approved (apparently that's where most of the development money goes) so the SGS ones are probabaly the same as a lot of others on eBay etc

Seems like the start of the racing season might be a bad time to buy low entry race jacks - funny that isn't it ?

Still feel the Arcan 1.8 tonne is the best to go for, I just don't want to pay £150 for it (my wife suggested that it'd pay for itself after the first use too)

/edit

I'd also prefer it to be blue to go with my car not red
