Why do you need a 1.8 tonne jack?

Yeah I don't really want to go much over the £100 mark tbh!

Seen this one too: 2 Ton 80mm Low Profile Long Reach Quicklift Garage Trolley Jack for £120 + delivery
http://www.lftauto.co.uk/epages/BT38...4/Products/038

I'm not sure about the SGS ones as the 2.5 Ton Aluminium Racing Trolley Jack probably won't fit under my side jacking points with a closed height of 100mm.

Measured my clearance (with Eibach springs) and it could even be a squeeze with a closed height of 90mm

So even the SGS 1.5 tonne is 90mm which is risky...

So it seems the only SGS one that will definately fit under Eibach springs is the 2 Ton Ultra Low Profile Professional Service Trolley Jack which is £160!

Also really we should be looking at 2 tonne otherwise you'll wish you did if you need to lift a different car...

Costco have a 1.5 tonne for £120 with a min height of 86mm:

Machine Mart have this Clarke one for £120 - Low profile 75mm min saddle height - Weight: 30kg

Rubbish! a jack doesn't need to take the full weight of a car, you are only ever lifting 2 wheels off the ground, the other 2 wheels will be taking a lot of the weight.

Nice and light, I don't think I'll be popping grapes out my backside picking that one up!

How's the quality ? I'd rather not do the "buy cheap, buy twice" thing so have you had it a while without bits falling off ?

Cheers Floppy, looks like they might have some Arcan stock at some locations then. With a switch to the SIP brand on their website.
