Well I just used my new sgs jack to change my wheels. It is a very well made piece of equipment, easy and solid to use. Weighs more than I was expecting though as I thought it being made out of aluminium would be considerably lighter than the steel ones. It weighs a little more than the typical halfords one but considering it's twice the size that's not too bad. It's a low profile jack so now I can get it under my lowered car straight away without first having to use the scissor jack to lift it a little, this saved me lots of time and effort, took 25 minutes less to change the wheels over (yes I'm not very fast). Considering the less time and effort needed now to lift the car and change wheels I'm very happy with my purchase,

This is the sgs version of the machine mart racing jack. Cracking bit of kit for the money.

Sounds good, what ton/weight did you go for?

Just noticed in the pics it has the TJA1.25 on the part number - so neither of the ones I linked to:

Yeh it's the 1.25 ton. I figured I only ever have one corner up in the air at a time so it's fine. Price is reasonable as I'm trying out that manufacturers wares. If I ever need a heavier lifting trolley jack I would happily go for sgs again though.

It was my birthday on Tues and I'd forgotten all about this until my wife handed me a rather heavy parcel. I'm now (finally) an owner of a TJA1.25 - got there in the end !

How's everyone got on with these? They're on offer at the moment. Was thinking a 1.25one with the axle stands as a set is a bargain?

Or do I need a higher weight to lift front & back?
