Hello all I bought a K&N gen 1 recently but it came with no fitting instructions I was just wondering if anyone has a copy or is there a fitting guide somewhere.

The K&N website is your friend.... http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/57-3514_inst.pdf
I'm guessing it'll be basically the same.
Or maybe one of these....

Yeah the manual is on the site.
I color coded the vacuum pipes to avoid confusion, but its pretty straight forward.
You will need a double extension on a 10mm to fit the heat shield. You will see what I mean about that.
The pipes coming off the intake arm take a surprising (for a noob) amount of pulling force to come off.
Put a plastic bag or something under the coolant hose before you pull it or it will drain into the starter motor.
Took me 1h30m to do it and I have no experience doing anything like this before.
Cheers
