Default Leaking Rubber Seals

Have done a few searches on this but my prob seems to be slightly different.

Water is leaking from on to both door sills inside the car all along the panel where the metal s2000 plate is.

I think this is getting into the car from the rubber at the base of each window (when up) there is a bit of rubber that looks like it shouls wrap round the window bit obviously still allow the glass to slide up and down.
I think that is where the water is leaking in and then deposting it on my sills. It doesnt seem to fit tight to the window.

Done anyone know where to get these replaced and for what cost?

Thanks

The door will have holes on the bottom of it allowing water to escape from the bottom of the door, on to the sills and then on to the ground.

The water from down the side of the window needs to go somewhere or it would collect in the bottom of the door, which would rust

Yeah I can appreciate that but surely it is not correct having water gather on the sills where the plates are as this water just sits there until dried off.

I see the holes there but they seem to distributing the water onto the sills, which seems a bit daft seen as though that is technically inside the car.

Do you not think replacing all the seals would help then?

Thanks

The wiper seal that sits along the base of the glass isn't designed to be a total seal, just stop the worst of the water going into the door.

Not ideal, but doesn't it add 'character' to the car? Come on, its an endearing little quirk it has.

That and its ability to drench you when pulling away after be sat for a few days

no its not that seal, and it doesnt drench me as the water it sitting sort of level with me I guess when sat down.

Ive prob not explained it properly, but it is the door seal its leaking from, under the door. I was trying to figure out how its getting in in the first place.

Maybe I should upload some pics? When I work out how.

Thanks people!!

Mine does the same, as it did on my old Civic. Just one of those things which I've been unable to solve!

It's by design to drain the water away. As long as it's not getting on to your carpets or sitting in the door frame the seals are doing their jobs.

just had another look and if you open the door towards you. look at the bottom of the glass when window up. really thin rubber looks like it should wrap round both inside and outside of window. slight tear on inside causing it to come away from the glass slightly.

It must be getting in there but I really cant understand why the holes let water onto the inside and then it doesnt drain off!??

Anyway, looks like just one of those things from what you knowledgable lot are saying.

If I do get prices for seals and fitting ill post on here.

Cheers

Mine was doing this, the other weekend I greased all the seals all around the doors - so far OK.
