Default water leakin in around speaker grills.

i have been noticing that after it wains or after i wash my car i will have water on the plastic sill plates and the and the little honda plate at the bottom of the door. I thought that maybe it was comming in fromthe window and running down but that isnt the case. the door panel itself is dry and so is the window and carpet. Then i noticed last night after the rain storm that i had water bubbling in the speakers grill holes. I just took the door panel off and the plastic lining is soaked on the back side. Now i know that the doors are designed with drain holes to let water inand out of them but it should not be leaking out of the door panel. I pressed the plasic liner back down really well to the goop to make sure it is sealed. Do u think that maybe the window is not sealing tightly enough to the strip along the top of the door(bottom of window) and letting to much water in that way. if so, how do i fix it. I hate taking it to honda here in lexington or frankfort because they told me themselves that they never see any of these wich means mine would be a first time fix for them more than likely. last time i took it in they left the power point in the console unplugged and put the screw to a trim piece through my amp power line shorting it out. I do not close the door with the window or even touch the window hardly for that matter. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks guys.

Holy cow, I have the same problem. I noticed it for the first time this week! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why water was coming from the speaker grills!!! It'd be great if anyone has any insight on this problem.

Sounds like too much water was going through the run off track inside the door panel. Are your window strips both inside and out okay, and any of the run off track bent or damaged?

I have this too from time to time on my speaker grills. It's very little so I'm not too worried. I use that silicone grease on the weatherstriping around the window and it fixes it for a while.

thanks for the advice on fixing this little problem. I thought it very strange when I found water in the speaker grill holes, but couldn't find streaks running down the interior anywhere. Stupid outdoor parking lots!

Treat your seals with some Shin-Etsu grease. They will harden up if left untreated, and you'll get water leaks and airflow at higher speeds.

Give it a shot.
