There was a 2002 S2000 on Ebay a few months back, I remember it as it was same year and spec as mine (and yours) it was very cheap as it had "mechanical trouble" I have a search and see if I can find the Registration.
That would be great!! cheers,

I hope you get this sorted Yan.

Seems to be me as if they have sold you a dodgy car to begin with sorry to state the obvious.

Did you notice anything odd or wrong with it?, you need to note this down and play a bit dumb that you dont know anything about cars and see what they say then record it, ring them up and record it.

Trading standards it might put some pressure on them, but the problem is as people have mentioned theres allsorts of get out clauses.

T**ts!

Good luck pal.

And remember note down EVERYTHING so you have good ammunition, with dates and times.

I remember having problem with an insurance company the call was recorded and i prompted them about something asking them to explicitly state some facts and they put themself in the shit as it was recorded.
Thanks, I need to nail this and i will because I have proof n receipts.
If I can tomorrow i will scan them and post them on the forum so everyone can see and comment.

Well being honest, the car did but rarely when turned over in cold, start with this noisy rubber belt sound ,difficult to explain it only lasted for 2 seconds.

Thanks anyway

Usually they say *may* be recorded and then funnily enough can't seem to find a recording of your conversation. Though there's nothing to stop you telling them it is being recorded in return.

You're right about noting every single thing down though.

dont worry, actually when i asked them "are you recording this conversation" after they f**ked up, i said "Because I'm recording this conversation"

I used my old nokia phone as it had recorder function and set it at high quality.

Hey all, didn't get anywhere much, finance company have a feeling the car dealer in Havant have changed trading names because apparently they owe quite a few people money. But they are going to investigate that for me.
Downside is that it might take months to sort out and come to a conclusion, thus no car on the road.

On the otherhand, the other car dealer was telling the truth, he had documents to prove that car wasn't his. But failed to tell me.
Im getting opinions from various people, consumer direct telling that it was legal what they did but unfortunately is a common way here in UK to trade cars in a confusing way for customers. Finance company seemed not knowing how to help but advised to take on the money offer /contribution Winkfield were offering towards a engine replacement, in the end i only forked out in my pockets

My advice to all who r thinking to buy a S2000 or any other car from a dealer, research well on their background and history.

But the case will still continue on my hand

Yeah near Portsmouth.

The guy picked me up from Havant train station and we went to his place where car was. Weird!!! Then we went into his house garage- was like a mini office with alloys hanging from the walls, appears that that was Tidy Wheels (prob. in partnership with Warblington cars).

I think i should seek legal aid here. I really do need my car running I have no means of transport
Hi
I have just read some of this thread and was wondering if the guys from Warblington Car sales were South African's , father and son both called Will.
If so I bought an 02 Galaxy from them and it has been in the garage for the last six months, only bought it 10 months ago when they were trading couple of miles down the road as Finest Motors. I had problems from day 1 but they weren't interested. I did buy a warrenty which cost me
