I'd really like to do something like this and I think I'd be doing the same as you so far i.e. copying Dembo's setup and getting the big brakes even if they're not strictly necessary.

You're going to run into the road/track compromise problem but it sounds like you've got an idea of the balance you're after.

I'd be tempted to keep the engine standard and look into a sequential box, they're getting pretty reasonable now but probably not too good for the road driving.

Thought the Tarox fitted properly without spacers? Not that spacers are an issue on the track, but they're a terribly inelegant solution.

 

A sequential would be great Graham, something i've always wanted But as you say, it takes it away from being a road car and is also a lot of wedge. I guess one of the big involvement factors with the S2000 is it's gear change too.

I really only do a few thousand miles per year in anything, but i'd still like it to be practical.

I think the engine will stay standard, but i'm just checking in on the low boost S/C option to rule it out. It really doesn't need loads more power, so if I stay NA I will be doing all the exhaust stuff mainly for weight reasons. I would be tempted by an ampped AEM ECU as that will liberate a nice chunk of power, and I can just plug the OEM one back in for day to day driving for all the OBD functions and all weather adjustment.
